On February 28, 2026, Israel and the USA jointly attacked Iran. Since then, alongside the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, Sudan, and Myanmar, another highly dangerous confrontation has been raging. The number, intensity, and duration of wars are on the rise again. More and more often, the power of law and diplomatic compromise is being replaced by the law of the strong and the superior. How can we understand this development? And how should we respond to it?
Current world events are becoming increasingly crisis-ridden. This is something that deeply concerns many of us. In this situation, the Goetheanum does not wish to remain silent. Rather—free from any claim of possessing ultimate truths—we want to try to shed light on at least some aspects of these events and provide an opportunity for dialogue and independent judgment.

Am 28. Februar 2026 griffen Israel und USA gemeinsam den Iran an. Seither tobt neben den bereits bekannten Kriegen in der Ukraine, in Nahost, im Sudan und in Myanmar eine weitere hochgefährliche Auseinandersetzung. Anzahl, Heftigkeit und Dauer von Kriegen nehmen wieder zu. Immer öfter wird die Stärke des Rechts und diplomatischen Ausgleichs durch das Recht des Stärkeren und Überlegenen ersetzt. Wie können wir diese Entwicklung verstehen? Und wie uns demgegenüber verhalten?
Das gegenwärtige Zeitgeschehen wird immer krisenhafter. Das treibt viele von uns um. In dieser Situation will das Goetheanum nicht schweigen. Wir wollen vielmehr – frei von der Überzeugung, wir verfügten über endgültige Wahrheiten - versuchen, zumindest einige Aspekte des Geschehens zu beleuchten und Gelegenheit zum Gespräch wie zur eigenen Urteilsbildung geben.
Die Veranstaltung wird auf Englisch übersetzt. Der Eintritt ist frei, aber wir freuen uns über jede Spende am Saalausgang oder online über unsere Spendenwebseite.
